Let’s Play Volleyball Festival 2015

On June 19th Volleyball England in partnership with Premier League 4 Sport, Greater Sport and CEV re-launched the Greater Manchester ‘Let’s Play Volleyball’ festival. The Festival was held at Leigh Sports Village from 10am until 4pm.

The Event was the 4th annually, and in 2014 over 900 young people took part, with 60 leaders delivering the largest volleyball festival in the Country.

The ‘Let’s Play Volleyball’ youth volleyball programme is a holistic development model designed to encourage young people to experience and enjoy volleyball as a player, competitor, leader, coach or referee. On the court, ‘Let’s Play Volleyball’ is a game-based small sided approach. Young players will develop sequentially through essential skills required to become a competent volleyball player, developing game understanding and sport specific techniques.

Volleyball England in partnership with 6 North West Premier League Clubs (Blackburn FC, Wigan Athletic FC, Stoke FC, Manchester United Foundation, Manchester City FC and Liverpool FC), Greater Sport and Sainsburys School Games were proud to present the relaunch of the Greater Manchester ‘Lets Play Volleyball’ and ‘Premier League 4 Sport’ outdoor festival. The Festival has also been awarded support from CEV (Continental Governing Body for Europe) and will be the only one in the Country.
