Fond farewell – the S’PORT

We are sad to see the departure of Bulgarian player, Ivan Dzhapunov, who returns home after a five years ‘excile’ in the UK. Ivan has been a dedicated member of Stockport Volleyball Club (the S’PORT) showing commitment over and above the call of duty and an inspiration to our NVL, junior and community cohorts.

Our Chairman, posted on his Linkedin profile: “We first met Ivan through trials at Stockport Volleyball Club. He succeeded and went on to represent the elite Men’s Team which played in the National Volleyball League. His traits include: tenacity, commitment, reliability, enthusiasm, motivation and inspiration to those he played with, and trained, in all age groups. Thank you Sir.”
