Goodbye Howard, Bienvenue Sebastien

Sebastien (‘Seb’) Serayet, our talented NVL Libero, will take over responsibility with immediate effect for Coaching our community adults (male and female) in training. He took practice tonight with his usual dedication, charisma and made a refreshing change.

We had a good turn out to welcome Seb who received applause at the end of the Session. Seb already has coaching experience, but will be supported on achieving coaching qualifications via Volleyball England. This something a previous club promised, but didn’t deliver, and we at the S’PORT recognise the need for both CPD and NGB recognitions.

Howard Ainsworth is replaced by Seb. He left Stockport Volleyball Club with mutual consent. In recent months, Howard admits himself he has missed several bookings with other commitments at a School and University and we agreed we need greater reliability with our professional support team. Howard said on departing: “you seem to have loads of capable volleyball players/coaches on board so you don’t really need me anymore”.

We wish to put our thanks on record to Howard, who was introduced by our contact at the time in Volleyball England and supported our community development plans from the beginning. We wish him well in his future roles.
